  • Fiberglassing is a long process including 7 main steps

    1. Install fiberglass dripcap along perimeter of desired surface
    2. Apply a two-part Featherite mud to dripcap, as well as to all seams, knots, and nail holes, grinding flush after hardening
    3. The fiberglass mat is laid out and cut into place
    4. An unwaxed GP resin is rolled on and saturated into the mat
    5. Once the glass has hardened, we apply a gelcoat of your choice of stock colours (a custom colour can be fabricated at added cost and time)
    6. Once the gelcoat has hardened, we grind down any high spots and scuff the deck in preparation for the final coat
    7. A final gelcoat, with (optional) non-slip additive of the same colour is applied to the deck and left to cure until hard enough to walk on
